Crab dug back down before exiting hole

Crab dug back down before exiting hole

So my smallest crab "Jack" has been up after distressing last week and then went directly back down two days later after eating like a pig. (For a molt I'm assuming.) Anyways, yesterday I watched him dig back up, but he never came up out of the whole, before burrowing back down, and covering himself back up....what does this mean? Seems like an odd behavior...lol

It doesn't mean anything. Crabs are just weird sometimes. Lol

Lol okay, that's what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure. XD it was kinda funny actually cuz it was obvious digging up took some effort, the sand moved for like ten minutes before his lil leg popped up. Lol
