Re: e behavior
Coming from all the E owners out there they pretty much sound like my aussies.
Behaviour?
Unpredicable! Constantly on the move, very active. If they anything like my aussies they enjoy digging, climbing, running. Basically anything that involved a workout, moving and guaranteed to annoy the bananas out of me is fun.
Fav food?
Depends on the crabs. I'd say that it's best to feed them a varied diet and see what your crabs like. For example, my aussies absolutely love cooked (boiled) corn on the Cob and will half a cob in 1-2 nights. Other crabbers that had/have E's (or even aussies) have reported mango, meats, seafood to be a massive hit.
Difference compared to PP's?
Yes, they like the ADHD version of PP's.
However they are *way* more entertaining; and if they anything like my aussies enjoy sunbaking/staying out during the day

Re: e behavior
I must be the lucky one. My 4 (3 since one has been MIA for a while) are not your typical. They don't dig unnecessarily around my tank. Mine are not destructive at all either. They just kinda hang out with each over and that's about it. They are active, as far as they stay out all day. I usually find them climbing or in the shell shop. I had one switch into a turbo today, actually. I'll see one dig down a couple inches against the glass, but then come back up.
They are very skiddish. Run away when they see me, which is fine. Some members have had aggressive, killer E's. I've never had this problem in the 2 years I've owned them
As far as food, I don't know what they prefer exactly. I house them with PP and they eat the same things.

Re: e behavior
My Es have been more active diggers. Flightier than the PPs, for sure. Or at least it seems that way since they're more likely to run away (and they are pretty quick), where PPs tend to just duck into their shells. I find they like smelly seafoods a lot. Definitely not as easy to please with food or shells compared to the PPs. PPs tend to laze about and lumber around, Es are much more direct with where they're going and what they're doing. Not to say PPs aren't active....they're just not in any hurry, IME.
