They're very adept at climbing up using only the corner sealant seams. The need to climb and get as high as possible is just part of their "tree crab" DNA. Only two of my guys like to do the glass lid hinge walk and the one who does it most often is large Big Enzo, the clumsy crab: he'll haul his hefty self along to about midpoint where he'll "rest" for a while and, I think, falls asleep 'cause the next thing is a big thunk as he hits the substrate and looks around, startled !Markg21 wrote:I'm still absolutely stumped as to how he got up there. The night before I had a log that was closer to the top and he had an accomplice that he climbed on top of to reach the top. But I moved their ramp lower so they couldn't reach before this picture was taken. I sat in amazement for about 30 minutes lol.
That look is hilarious. My biggie Brutus climbed to the top of my vine and I guess forgot how to get down. Next thing I know, I hear a thud and after he rights himself, he looks around like "Anyone see that? No? Good..." and just wanders off in the other direction...Crabinski wrote:They're very adept at climbing up using only the corner sealant seams. For the most part most of our PP's prefer not to go for a swim in the pools. So one night Inhear Mike, one of our medium PP's climbing the vine near the back of the tank. He decided to scale the leaves. Made it almost all the way up when the BP loses its grip and all of a sudden I hear a big Thud from the tank. I walk over to take a look and there is Mike on his back at the bottom of the SW poolCrabMater wrote:New topic : Crab Fails
