Soul Mates

Stephanie and Brutus went down for their molts right around the first of December; within a day of each other. Yesterday, when I got to school, Stephanie was out and about from her molt. Right before I left for the weekend, I began to set the tank (press-n-seal under the lid, change the food, refill the waters, etc.) and I noticed a different colored shell that I hadn't seen since the first of December. At some point in the day, Brutus had rejoined us top-side; literally hours after Stephanie. Down together; up together; MM4L (Molting Mates For Life!)
Since Stephanie was first up, she was able to pick her claim. She chose the enclosed rock cave (a very popular spot) and set up camp for the long haul. When Brutus came up, he searched around for a while and finally came up on Stephanie in her cave. They had a feeler fight and Stephanie ran Brutus off (he didn't go far, decided to hang out on top of the cave...)
Stephanie stakes her claim.
Brutus finds Stephanie. FEELER FIGHT!!
Stephanie wins. Brutus runs for higher ground.
Really high ground...
