What are they doing?

A couple of my crabies disappear for months. They are not molting, they just like to be under ground. It is very frustrating. Their habitat stays pretty consistent in temperature. It makes it impossible to clean the tank or add new substrate, etc. What are they doing down there? lol Anyone else have this problem? :?

Must be top secret crab meetings
Mine only stay down for that long if they're molting. Sure they don't have hairier & pointier legs?

Cute Giner13!

You can add 1" of substrate every 24 hours as long as you don't pack it down.

My crabs do this also, but I have enough crabs to keep me entertained. I don't worry about it. I know it's just what they do. As long as heat is 80-85 and humidity my humidity is above 80, all is well. Hang in there.

I've always thought it was a secret meeting. Plotting their next pool party when I'm out of the room or a naked parade. LOL (They've done that. 3 of my guys decided to run naked for an entire day. They all went back into their old shells and sat in the food dish at the end of the day.) :? Crazy crabies....

Thanks....It can be very frustrating. I need to figure out how to get rid of all their poop. I like to give a good clean once in a while but they are not interested. LOL
