I had one crab up till last week which stayed in his hut 90% of the time I went and got another one hoping this
would help get him out and more active and readying I need two but now they both stay in there all the time lol any ideas to get them out and
more active or is this normal. I see pictures of others out and about

Crabs like to drive us crazy. It might be due to the tank conditions. Fill out the emergency template so we can see if anything needs to be changed.

The first rule of crabbing. There is no normal crab behavior! LOL!

Anyway that is "normal" behavior. Their personality is dependant on the crab. Some will spend all day out and about, others only come out at night. Some you can reach into the tank and they don't care. Others run as soon as the see any type of movement outside of the tank.

I would say the new guy could be shaken up from coming home and being put into a new home. They usually need some quiet time for a few weeks to adjust to their new settings. most of the time they will dig into the substrate and just chill out for a few days/weeks. They may molt but may just be distressing/relaxing. It's best to let them adjust without much human interaction. Do you normal feedings, water changes, and general tank care. Just try not to bug him until he get settled into his new home.
