About 3 days ago my kids spilled milk everywhere and I had to move my tank to clean it. When I was putting it back I put it down not the softest i could have without thinking.

I dont see any sunken spots really in the sand and my substrate holds form pretty well. Im hoping shes ok and mostly wondering what I should be looking out for if something did happen. Will I be able to smell her if she died under the substrate. If I should go digging etc. Ive tried to keep my hands off and just wait and google didnt really give me any answers maybe im using the wrong terms.

Sorry guys Im just worried

It's hard to know. If the cave/tunnel collapsed she needs to be dug up. If you find her molting gently dig her up with the substrate under her and place her under a hide. If you have another crab she will need to be isolated. Someone with more experience may give different advice.

Generally, if you aren't seeing collapses, there hasn't been one. I've had my husband move tanks before without problems. Even transported tanks with molters in the car when adopting!
