HCA: Hermit Crab Association

i got 2 new hermit crabs about 3 days ago and one of my crabs came in a cracked shell. luckily, he changed shells the next day when I was gone at work. then the next morning when I woke up, he had changed again. i just want to make sure this isn't abnormal or that he's having problems? i read some places that he is just getting used to his new home and trying to find a comfy shells. however, I wanted to get more opinions from people with actual crabs. thank you!

Completely normal, it's like trying on shoes. Must find the right fit. I've had a crab that changed into every shell I had put in, one after another.
