molting behaviour

Post by goober » Thu Aug 22, 2024 12:44 pm

I just came from a trip and one of my crabs, Charlie, came up from their molt, and two days later they went back down again? I haven't seen them since and i'm starting to get worried. :( (if it makes a difference my other crab that's about three times the size of Charlie is molting too.)

No, don't worry. Crabs can molt back to back. Or they can come up and have some snacks, then go back down. Many times people think their crab has been down for many months, when in reality they have come up and gone back down again.
