Burying raisins

Post by Guest » Tue Oct 30, 2007 12:21 am

My newest little crab, a tiny PP named Blondie, is so funny! She likes to carry things around, and her favourite pastime seems to be dropping one shred of coconut at a time into the holes in the cholla wood.

However, today she outdid herself. She wandered around burying raisins- in the holes the other crabs had left in the sand when they buried down. I'm not sure if she was trying to hide her raisins for later or if she was handing out snacks, but I'm sure the crabs in holes were sitting there thinking,"Hey, it's raining raisins!".

Lol, very cute! Mine seem to be enjoying relocating food at the moment too, I have no idea where some of it has gone! :D

AWWWWW!!! How cute!! A couple of my little ones carry (more like drag) around the crackers with peanut butter. They're not sharing though.

My teenies and smalls in my 10-gallon tank always dig hole and caves, and whenever I put something tasty in their dish, they hide it. Today I looked in there and noticed that two crabs were up. One of them quickly disappeared into one of their secret caves. The other decided to hide in a large cave which appeared overnight under one of their hideys, and I noticed the crab had a secret stash of banana in there, too!

Ganymede always dumps out the food dish and kicks sand on it. It's a pain, but kind of amusing
