Why is it whenever I have a naked crab, it's ALWAYS an E? I don't have PP's running around stressing me out! It's ALWAYS the E's!
Came down this morning to find one of the new E's I got from PSP last month sitting by the salt water naked. Shell nowhere nearby! I popped his butt into another shell and left him by the water dish. *sigh*
I never have a good experience with a naked E. Sadly, I don't have high hopes for this little one.

Those Es...I'm sorry he is stressing you out. I hope he pulls through OK.
Was he recently down molting by any chance? My Es have only gone naked in relation to molting, but they came through it fine.
The naked Es don't scare me so much. It's when my PPs go naked that bad things happen.

I don't know. I know E's like to molt naked sometimes, but I think this one is the one that was really stressed but I bought him because I was getting his tank mates and didn't want him to be alone.

Wow....so sorry this happening!
The only times I have had an E naked, was a few molters....like you already pointed out, Es often tend to molt outside of their shells. My ruggies are the streakers....they absolutely make me nuts!

I have never had a ruggie or a PP go naked by choice.
However, E's seem to be the most exhibitionist species of crabs because I only have had E's go naked.

Sorry about the streaker - hope things turn out okay.

Keep up updated. I love the Es but they are crazy ones...

It was one of the five I bought...I'm still not sure which because I couldn't find the shell and the others have dug down.
*sigh*
PPS stinks.

oh so sorry about your loss....as if we don't have enough to worry about, we have to worry about the strange behavior of our crabs.
