Identifying a crab

Post by Kaye5802 » Sat Mar 11, 2017 12:37 am

ImageImage I found these old pictures of my first hermit crab from years and years ago who sadly died because I was way to young and didn't know how to care for them but I was wondering... what kind of crab does she look like? She doesn't look like my current PPs and I got really curious? Can anyone tell me if she was just a PP or something else?

I agree-afy with the above.

How many PPs do you have now?
"Gaze upon the rolling deep..."
Quince the fat tailed gecko; Amazonian minnows; and now Harry & Luis, Bede & Aster, Chandra & Jace, Pax, & Piccolo, my adopted PPs.
RIP Vegita :(

It's okay! We've all been there and made some mistakes. Luckily, you stumbled across this site and are learning things to provide them with a better life/home. :)

I know - it's hard to think of what these little dudes go through... but you were only eleven, and really, it was the job of the adults who let you take the crab home to find out what was needed - most kids under fifteen don't have great research chops.

I got my first two via a fair, too. My partner has a kid sister who won them. Eventually she grew board of taking care of them and because i'd become obsessed, her mother (who wad not so happy when i told her they could live for years) asked me to 'babysit' them while the fam vacationed... and to take my time returning them.

Yeah, they're mine now. I stole a ten year old's pets.
