Cat peed I'm empty tank

Post by Hermiearth » Sat Apr 22, 2017 7:17 pm

So I was in the process of setting up my old 30 gallon to split up the crabs, and long story short I left the lid off and my cat used the tank as a litter box (ugg) So my question is, if I scoop out what smalls like per can j still use the sub? Or do I need to restart?

I would personally start over. I am so sorry.

My son was on crab and cat watch today to make sure this didn't happen while the tank was being moved.

The ammonia would be harmful to crabs and depending on how well they buried/flung sub all over, there is no telling what does or doesn't have urine on it any more.

Cat peed I'm empty tank

I would restart, but that's just me. The last thing I would want is cat pee smell in my house. The other last thing I would want would be to find out that I didn't quite get it all and have to take everything and everyone out after I had it completed, just to have to redo it any way.

Sorry, I had to laugh because when I was redoing my sub last week, I saw one of my cats eyeing the tank up. Fortunately she is too old to get to the tank, but I still told her to not even think about it.
