How in the world?!

Post by Crabsalicious » Fri Nov 10, 2017 10:15 pm

Super excited to see this little (big) guy tonight. Totally freaked me out when I looked in the tank and saw him right there in front of me! I never see the crabs it seems like lol. I actually thought he was much smaller than this. How in the world did he grow so much?! Lol. Do they grow that fast?? Dang Image Image

They grow like weeds when they are little! One of my girls went from a tiny little small to a mid sized medium in the span of like two years. It's great to watch! :)

They really do grow so quickly when they are small, and conditions are good. The other day, I found the shell that one of my newer adoptees came in. I was surprised at how small it was by comparison to how big he is now, about 2 years later. The previous owner had gotten the crab for her son, and the conditions were horrible, and there was no room for it to molt in the tank she'd set up. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it had with her, and I was glad to hear that she and her son were bored of it and happy to pass it along to me. He's grown quite a lot since then, as you can see. :)ImageImage
