can't stick acurite thermometer/hygrometer in tank

so I got the acurite thermometer/hygrometer like a little bit ago and it was mostly just sitting in the tank because I've tried sticking it to the wall in the tank, but between the humidity/moisture and it being a little chunky, it keeps falling. I know a lot of people on here use it for their crabs so...how do I do it? do I have to make some sort of blood sacrifice or what? ;-;

motorcrab sells holder for them on his etsy shop for $16.49 and they are just made out of plastic mesh and zip ties
it comes in handy though
it has a handle so u can hang it from something in ur tank
