So, I desperately want to do some kind of super cool background on the tank, but I'd be terrified of pulling out silicon, and totally ruining the whole tank... Hundreds of dollars down the drain...

Does anyone have any cool, risk-free background ideas?

Edit: Also, would this be safe for crabs? I can't tell.

My background is simple but I like it (for the most part, lol). I got some boxwood panels on Amazon and attached them to the back with suction cups/command hooks (BOTH of which are failing. SIGH)
I've also always wanted to try doing cork backgrounds. Maybe for my next tank build, the 29g baby tank... sorry, just thinking out loud here!

I'd go with boxwood panels or cork panels. :)

Ok thanks! I really like the look of boxwood backgrounds. How would you attach them to the tank instead of the suction cups?

No problem!

I'm trying to use command hooks right now, and it seems to be working better than the suction cups.

Great! Thanks for the advice.

Any good, cheap 75 gal tank stands out there? I'll go with a 55 if the 75 doesn't work out, but I reaaaally want a 75... The tank stand is the main problem! The tank itself already costs quite a bit, and adding on the cost of the tank stand is PAINFUL!

I'm not sure. My tanks aren't on stands (due to added costs; I'm willing to sit down to see them.)
Check OfferUp/Craigslist. You might find one on there?
And yes I am super aware of the costs! They bite! I think I must have spent more than $250 just on the 55 gallon and everything in it, at the least.

I was looking into this tank stand, but it's built for two tanks instead of one... A would be worried if I put one tank on, it would be really wobbly! What would ya'll think?

Edit: You know, I figure, I can just get a 55G, it'll be cheaper, take up a bit less room, and then I can get some small crabs to put in my current 20l. Then, I won't technically have a 75 gallon tank, but I will have 75 gallons OF tanks :D

Sorry for all the forum spam!
