Aquarium plants maybe toxic glue

Post by ChonkyCrabsLover » Sun Sep 08, 2024 8:40 am

Hello, I recently remembered that I have some leftover fake aquarium plants from a previous fish tank. I was about to add them when I realized there was some glue between the bottom of the plant and the plastic base. I looked it up and it said it was called hot melt glue and is commonly used in fake plants. It is made with ethylene vinyl acetate (No clue what that means). I have no idea if my crabs might eat it. Is it safe? Thank you!

I have loads of aquarium plants in my tank and I've never seem my crabs sitting and picking at them nor have I seen "bite" marks on them.
So you should be good to go!
