Gourds

Post by Wlfwo » Fri Oct 11, 2024 8:19 pm

I have some darn I don't remember what you call them, bottle gourds maybe. The ones that are fatter at the bottom and skinnier on top. I grew them about 18 years ago. And they've just been sitting in a basket on my back porch I cut a hole in the front and I'm going to use it for a hide. If it's too humid for it, I'll just take it out, but has anybody had any experience with using gourds?

Mine molded heavily within a few days. I thought it would be something cute the crabs could snack on over time but man they went funky.

I wonder if it would help if I soak them in salt water and then let them dry again
