Will cleaning fumes harm my crabs?

my cleaning lady is here today... will the cleaing fumes affect the crabs health??? NEED ANSWERS QUICK!!!!!!!!!!

because they breathe through a modified gill, they are more susceptible to ill effects from those fumes....when ever i clean i place a towel/pillowcase over the top of the crabitat and then cover it with my glass or plastic covers completely....

I have to agree. I would put something OVER their lid. I don't let any kind of fumes or sprays get near them. It could prove lethal at any time, now or a couple of weeks down the road :(
