having it in the low 70s is you have less 'wiggle room' - I try to keep my humidity at 80 so if for whatever reason it drops by 5%, it's not going below the safe range.

This is a good point too. I can't steady my whole tank at 80% so I just make sure I have areas of higher humidity and that areas with lower humidity stay within range.

Maybe I should look into getting a electronic mister? But I can't put in a flase bottom. 4 out of 5 crabs are donwn.. Any other ideas than the mister?

Like Megmaholm said, what about hooking up a humidifier to your tank? (One that's typically designed for human use, not a reptile one)

The one with the shells on it? Its one of those plastic things for the desk that you sit papers in top of. I covered the top with mesh and walla

I keep a few pieces of damp paper towel on top of my lid to my crabs 29 gallon and that seemed to help a lot!!
