Live Plants

I'm wanting to get live plants for the tank, which ones can I use and where do I get them? :crabbigsmile:

Things like ferns, air plants, spider plants, other bromeliads, etc. are safe. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. You can also sprout things like millet and chia seeds.

Just a warning, though, that crabs can and will destroy any life plant you put in there. It can end up being expensive! You'll want plants that haven't been treated/sprayed with pesticides.

Check out the live plants by the reptiles in pet shops. As @megmaholm said, the crabs will demolish live plants (they do a pretty good job on plastic and fabric ones, too :lol: ) so it can get pricey fast.
