ImageI just bought these plants from Michaels and I was wondering if anyone knew if they were safe for the hermies?

They should be safe, make sure to clean them before you put them in the crab intact though.

I put them in boiling water first, is that okay?

A quick dip in boiling water won't hurt, just be careful that you don't melt the plants.

I just give new plants a good wash in hot water. If I'm worried about it or if they're used plants, a soak in white vinegar diluted with water 1:1.

Thank you everyone! My crabs have had a large, but very bare, crabitat for years, so I'm sure they will be happy with a change of scenery
