Heat pad should be on the back of the tank. How big is the one you have and is it keeping your tank at least at 75 degrees all the time? You can mist your substrate to keep it moist...think fresh de chlorinated water only. It should be sand castle consistency when put in the tank.

If it covers the entire wall it can prevent heat from getting into your tank. I've never put one up like that in mine but received a tank with an adoption like that and it didn't heat well.GingerH wrote:Thank you. I currently have a climbing wall attached to the back will that heat through?
