UTH for 20g tank

Post by Huntley15 » Thu Aug 06, 2015 10:19 pm

Tomorrow i'm going shopping for hermit crab supplies and I will be looking for another UTH. Should I buy a 30 to 40g sized zoo med UTH for my 20g tank? :| (I was thinking this will keep a better heat.)

Some people have had okay luck with ZooMeds, but according to the manufacturer they cannot be insulated. If you can't get an Ultratherm - which are available online only - I personally would recommend a large Flukers pad. Those can be insulated and have the same design as Ultratherms.
