I was trying to get video when I realized he was swapping shells, but my hubby sent me a text message that threw off the timing.
But after a year and a half, I *finally* saw a shell change!!
And it creeped me the heck out.
His thorax was a creamy pale white...all the videos I've seen they've been pink?
It was like watching a grub worm. *shudder*
Is that normal?
Finally saw a shell change! Is this a normal thorax?

I would say yes. When I have witness shells changes most of there bottoms are that grubby white cream color. And yes they look very weird with no shell on.

Most crabby butts are either a creamy white to a whitish grey.
