. I have 2 questions: My first one is that I would like to get another small Hermie, but don't know if it would be the right thing to do. I have 5 hermit crabs (2 small 3 med.) and a 20 gallon long tank. They seem happy and I don't want to ruin that for them by adding another crab. My second question is about my crab Rocket. She is always hanging out of her (painted) shell and is very aggressive. She likes to hang out with the other crabs but has also started the most fights between them. I've put many shells her size in the tank, some heavy, some light, some more insulated then others, and have even tried dying them with fruits, but she won't switch, and is the only crab that has stayed in its painted shell! She never hides in here shell and doesn't seem to be afraid of me whatsoever. Is this normal and if anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated.Another Crab/My Crab Rocket

For the first question you shold be fine putting another crab in there. For your seccond question, when did get her and have you tried washing the shells out with salt water. Also try turbo shells. Crabs love turbo shells. Seriously. Love. Them. Also don't stress about the agressiveness, she has probibly been abused and is defensive. I got a crab like that about 1 month ago and now he never starts fights or pinches me. I also had a crab that stayed in his painted shell for 1 month then changed and he did fine. Best of luck!

Personally, I think you're already at capacity for your tank. Of course, as they grow they will need more space.

Ok guys. Thanks so much. And I got her from pecto, as it is the only pet shop in my area 
I think I'll wait to get another crab until I get a bigger tank. All of the info was very useful and I will get some turbo shells asap.
