Re: Attacked while molting-update 2/9 Molt #3

Great news! :D I know how hard it is to wait for these guys to come up that have been nursed back to health. You are right about the getting smaller in the process. I'm anxious to see if they end up having a big jump in size at some point on a future molt.

I am hoping that this will be my last post on Fasty and the amazing recovery that he has gone through. He's definitely back to his old, feisty self. When I picked him up today to say hello after his last molt, Fasty was up my arm and climbing all over my shirt. No fear from the trust that we built up during the months of hand feeding two-three times a day. I'm glad my crab is back. I'm so glad I was able to do this for him.
The pics aren't great. He moves so well now that its tough to get him still enough to snap a focused shot.
A few things to point out:
While Fasty lost most of the size from his limbs regrowing, his body is much thicker than a crab of his apparent size.
His pinchers are both still undersized, and the two lost legs are smaller.
The two legs on his left are the originals. They are much bigger than his regrown legs, but if you look back to an old pic, they are smaller than before his attack. I think part of the healing molt's purpose was to put him back into proportion, along with regrowing limbs.

This was such an amazing thread to read 8D made me feel so happy that he made it ^^. I just recently had a little E who I think dropped a limb during a molt but it's nothing bad, but it made me worry all the same XD I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that worries <3 Good Job Fasty keep being an amazing little dude who won't let anything hold him down ^^
