HCA: Hermit Crab Association

My PP is completely purple after his last molt. Is this ok or is it a dietary problem. He is a dark purple color. I know their colors change with molts, but I've never seen him or my other like this.

PP's can be a range of colors from beige with a purple BP to completely solid dark maroon purple. It's fine! Do you have pics?

They'll sometimes molt into some amazing color, and then with the next molt go back to looking "normal". I've never figured out why since their diet is pretty stable here.

I don't have a pic, but I'm going to get one, bc s/he is beautiful! I figured s/he is ok, bc it's a nice dark color, not pale. Thanks everyone!

btw the color is good bc my son name it Blueberry McMuffin years ago. Fitting!

Two of my crabs just turned purple too! Must be something I'm feeding them.... It's strange because they are small sized and usually it's the larger ones that are darker.
