HCA: Hermit Crab Association

So the lid of my tank won't come off, and I haven't fed/given lucky fresh water in a few days. It's possible to get the lid off with a lot of pulling but I'm not that strong. And honestly, I don't want to spend another 100$ to replace an otherwise good tank. So what should I do?

What kind of lid is it? I've never heard of this happening before. Can you post a picture?
