Has anyone heard of these before!? Mind blown. Was just reading an article about these land hermit crabs that only live in the Red Sea and have not really been studied much or kept as pets. They live in a very arid climate so they seem to do well with lower humidity levels. Also their habitat is hot during the day and cold during the night so they seem to be good with temperature fluctuations. They would make good pets! Especially for beginner crabbers maybe.

Are they white? I've read about them too. It says they live in the Red Sea in Egypt or something like that. They look cute! Don't they? There's a video on YouTube of them called Egyptian hermit crabs, if you want to see it. I saw it a few months ago :)

The pictures I have been able to find, yeah, very pale crabs. Very pretty.

I believe that in Dubai they are kept as pets; and I do recall reading about a person from the middle east keeping them - he wrote about it in his blog.
They sound rather amazing; don't they? :)

We had someone from Israel with them as pets. Gorgeous crabs!
