Cork tile

Looking to make some improvements in our first crabitat, and thinking this "cork tile" might make a good back wall for our 10-gallon tank. Our tank is the typical 20"W x 10"D x 12"H, filled 6" with sand/Eco Earth mix. I was thinking the 12" x 12" cork could be cut to two 6" swaths to cover the part of the back wall above the sand, and some how (silicone?) adhesive attached to back wall.

Currently, we have a big chunk of natural cork on back wall, which the crabs love, but it takes up floor space that could be used for spare shells, etc. Our tank is small, so we're trying to make better use of each last inch.

Please ignore the painted shells. They have since been replaced with all natural shells!

What are you using for a heat source? The cork tiles are great for climbing.

Was going to pick up an adhesive tank heater mat to stick to the back or end wall (mostly above substrate), but might have to rethink that if doing the back wall in cork.
