Evelyn The Crab Lady (the wonderfully nice elderly lady who was put in charge of the hermits at this store) met me and asked what I was looking for and when I answered that I was looking for 2 medium-to-large PP's her eyes lit up. She asked what type of home they would be in and I answered that they have a 35G vacation condo for a month or so and then a 75G paradise mansion that is in phase 1 of construction. She literally gave me a hug. A literal old lady hug. I'm surprised it didn't come with an old lady red lipstick smudge.
She told me she would give me a deal to take some of her bigger crabs that were outgrowing their shells that they had. (I was already getting that size, but I went along with it...) She also gave me a free small KK since I'm using these as the FW and SW pools in my new 75G tat.
She then gave me another discount because I'm a teacher and these will be at my school (Free sponges and food!!!!
lol I declined those...)Without further ado, meet the 2 newest members of our family. I may have to separate these guys because they are fighting over the one shell in this large KK. I have more shells a-boiling, so we will see what happens tonight!
Now just to figure out names...I'm thinking since they are a tandem deal and are already rearranging this small KK, they may be dubbed "Smash and Dash"
However, I surprised that they sell them like this... and that half the crabs haven't escaped by climbing up the walls. If they at least had a cover to trap in the humidity, it could work and look really cool/different.
