Re: List of Desired Changes
Air stones at max should be $1.50.
I bought 2 smaller ones from Walmart for around $1. I also got a larger one for free as an add on from Amazon(It was $1.50 if purchased). The smaller ones from WM work better than the larger one. When I set my bigger tank up, I plan on using the two smaller ones in the FWP and the larger one in the SWP on 2 separate pumps.
I think I have $15 in my air stones and "whisper" pump...

Re: List of Desired Changes
I was just planning on getting all my stuff from the fish section at Meijers. It's not too expensive, and I think I'm gonna run both of the airstones off of one pump using a T valve. Save some electricity.MrTeacherDude wrote:Air stones at max should be $1.50.

If the humidity is off I think I'm just going to remember how much it is off by. Hopefully not too much of a difference though.isadoraisacat wrote:I didn't have much luck with the probe maybe you will

Re: List of Desired Changes
I guess I'm hearing mixed reviews about it then. I think I'll give it a shot, because I want one with a probe that I can just dangle into the crabitat so the moisture won't break the gauge.isadoraisacat wrote:My correct gage is reading 88 % this probe reads 99 % no matter where i put it its very sensitivePinchersAndShells wrote:If the humidity is off I think I'm just going to remember how much it is off by. Re: List of Desired Changes
I ordered my Seachem Prime 500 mL and Instant Ocean 25 gal box. I hope it works okay, and that the crabs like it better than what I currently have.

Re: List of Desired Changes
Up next - Digital Thermometer/Hydrometer, then an Aquarium Hood. Might insulate the tank somewhere in there as well.

Re: List of Desired Changes
One pump will probably be sufficient, but I bought the smallest pump available and it barely bubbles my FWP now. I couldn't imagine it with a T-Valve in 2 pools lol. I'd spend $15 more dollars and get a bigger pump, but for me it's easier to use the 2 tiny ones I have...PinchersAndShells wrote:I was just planning on getting all my stuff from the fish section at Meijers. My tank is a constant upgrade, lol. My wife says I need to find a second job just to cover the crabs!

Hahaha, I know how that feels. My friends make fun of me for it, but if only they knew how addicting hermits can be...MrTeacherDude wrote:One pump will probably be sufficient, but I bought the smallest pump available and it barely bubbles my FWP now. Re: List of Desired Changes
Fun to make your own fish nets but, on the other hand, much easier and cheaper just to buy a bag of fishnet from the arts and craft store like Hobby Lobby or Miachels.

Hello, you may want to consider getting a heating pad from reptile basics also. They really thrive in the mid to upper 80's.

Re: List of Desired Changes
Hmm... the T valve I found is fairly cheap, I don't think it's metal, but next time I go to Meijers I could double check. https://www.meijer.com/product/pet-care ... 324210.utsisadoraisacat wrote:Tried to buy a t vavle tonight pet smart only sells metal ones which is bad for the crabs guess i have to order online I'm so mad because i have everything else i got a small pump too maybe i should return it for a stronger one this one was a mini 5 gallon i figured for a water pool it should work fine ?
