Can Hermits and snails live together?

I'm in the process of cleaning out and redoing my crabitat, and was just curious if I can put our land snails (just regular garden snails, nothing fancy) in the same tank with the hermies after it's all put back together? They both require similar habitats, but I am unsure if the crabs would try to eat the snails, or if the snails could harm the crabs in some way (a disease or something that maybe doesn't bother the snails but would make the crabs sick, or something?). They've obviously been separate this long, LOL, but if they could get along well it would make my life easier to only have one tank to worry about :) LOL

I personally would not recommend it. I don't know anything about keeping land snails - but I do know that snails carry parasites (I know this from the Veterinary field). Sorry I cannot be of more help.

The salt for the hermits would have a disastrous effect on the snails! And the hermits would try to eat them. They can be viscious against living things they want to eat.

I've never come across any journals that says parasites can transfer from snails to crabs. They can infect mammals but not crustaceans.

Goodness, I didn't even think about the salt water, and how I've soaked all the porous stuff in salt water as well!! Wow, yes that would be disastrous!! Thank you!

I've done it in the past but the snails do not appreciate high temperatures. Most of the time the enemiesenjoyed a live treat...
