Deceased Hermie

Post by TwinCole » Sun Sep 03, 2023 1:07 pm

I had a very active healthy crab one day & the next morning I went in to check on him and he was deceased . The odd thing about this was he was on one side of the tank & there was a glob y jelly fish looking substance on the other side of my tank floating in the water . Can anyone please tell me what that was . I was so confused I didn’t know what to do . Has anyone else ever experienced this ?

Thats strange.. what color is the blob, and are you sure your hermit crab was definitely dead and not molting? If theyre molting then they turn a pale color and appear slightly wet. Do u have any other hermit crabs in the same tank as him?
