I know that i should not spray any chemicals around my crab tank because it could kill the crab. But right now I'm in the position where i have to spray in that room.

Should i remove the crab tank from that room completely and bring it back when the smell is 100% gone?
Or,
Can i take the crab out of the room, in some tupperware or something, and wrap the tank in some shopping bags or plastic wrap, spray then unwrap the tank and return the crab when the smells gone?

Ill do whatevers safest for my crab. Im a little paranoid about her since i lost a crab previously and i dont know why. The tanks not too big and shes topside so moving it is doable.

What do other crabbers do when the situation comes up where you have to spray chemicals/poisons in the crab room and the tanks too big or the crabs molting?

Either approach will work so long as no fumes enter the tank. Be careful moving the tank if anyone’s buried though, sudden jostles or movements can jeopardize tunnels
