YEA it worked! I will upload my other pictures. Even with all the help links, I just can't figure out the species of my 3 crabs. I've used the gallery, everything. I feel like an idiot. So, I figure the only way to know is to let someone else identify them.

How do you know it is a PP and not an Indo since they are similar. In other words, what characteristic makes it a PP? The eyes? Please dont tell me to go to gallery or other websites. Trully, I have done all that. I am "species identity" challenged.

The indo will have a HUGE claw compared to his body. The colors of purple will be different. PPs have black dots and Indos have tannish ones on the claws and legs.

Indo eyes are black and perfectly round, with black eyestalks. they look like little bandits. PP eyes can be black to brown-red, and come to a point on the bottom of the circle.

You'll get better at identifying species once you've seen various ones in person, and had them verified.

Indos also have purple claws. The shades are different, is all.

I can't see the avatar either.

But your photos are nice PP's.

Many say don't judge a crab just by color. But, I've never seen an Indo with red legs!

In general, you can't judge by color alone, even with quite a bit of experience. As you own different species, other characteristics become more noticeable. Or, one day you glance in a tank at a pet store and suddenly KNOW you're looking at an Indo, a Cav, etc.
