Hope just sand is ok

When I was given hermits for my daughters, I went and upgraded their tanks to 5g, but didn't know they needed substrate. I'm getting ready to add 6 in of play sand to both tanks, as it's all I have right now. I hope it's good enough

There are some on here who use just sand. In my personal preference the eco earth (found at petsmart) help hold tunnels a little better and help keep the moisture! Can always be added as long as no molters are down! Good luck!

If you want to just have play sand, make it moist.
