Any idea how to lower humdity or eliminate mold?
I have asthma and I am allergic to mold. It's not deadly, but not the most fun.
My humidity is 99 degrees in the middle of the tank and I can't make it budge, it grows mold daily!
The upper corner of my tank where air comes in is only 65% humid, but of course that would be poor for the entire tank.
I've washed wood in salt water and then baked, but the part of my cork wood that touches the substrate molds, along with my moss.

Try a tiny bit of vinegar sprinkled on your problem areas, as mold doesn't like it. Otherwise maybe can't the top for a bit every day, fresh air flow can help. Others use tiny fans in the tank and claim this helps prevent mold by circulating the air. If you have bubbler pools you could turn them off for a certain period of the day, or use a timer system to do it for you, and that might keep the humidity at a lower level. Just a few ideas.

With the drop in humidity, I used to have my bubblers on a time but now it's on 24/7. I have a small 5in plastic desk fan I got from Walgreens hung on one side of my tank that blows across to where the bubblers are (blows air across the length of the tank). I keep that on a timer and it goes off about 4-5 times a day for about 20 min periods. With the cork touching the sub, u can prop it on a shell or something else that keeps it from touching the sub if it seems like that is where the mold frequently starts. Once a week I wipe down the inside glass of my tank with dechlorinated dilute white vinegar so maybe that is also helping decrease mold incidences? I don't spray it in there cuz I really can't stand the smell of it,
But I dampen a cloth with it and wipe all glass down.

Thank you both very much, I usually turn bubblers off at night and I'll try the vinegar technique!
I removed the driftwood from my tank and it seems to be doing much better, the cork only has a bit, seems driftwood was the real issue!
