Dionysianexile, I am aware of the difference between a psychlogist psychiatrist, I was merely referring to a school of thought, not to frued himself. I have read several books on Frued and one even strongly suggested he was a cocaine addict. I also have a friend who has the degree you're achieving, and we speak about all matters of the mind often.

I think there is a grave danger in the acidemic world to become Elitsts, not calling you or anyone else one, I have nothing but respect for the hard work it takes to get through college, but what I am saying is that there is a danger to think we know too much, and not question enough. If we do not keep an open mind we will stagnate. You had mentioned Frued's ideas as being antiquated, and yet you also mentioned there were not answers to some of my questions. Every human being should be careful not to turn away from an idea too quickly, because they just might have something to learn from it.

EDIT: Also, as someone who was in debate all through high school, for every fact or study you could site to support your side, if I so choose I could find an opposing fact or study to support my side. That is why I said way earlier in the post, a fact can be proved or disproved, but opinions can't.
