Species??

Re: Species??
pretty much. some hermies (like ruggies or e's AND straws, and sometimes Indo's) have more "picky" temps. and humdity levels. they seem like you HAVE to have a stable "highish" level for those species. PP's are the 'toughest' crabs---perfect for the OHIO wacky weather

Basically yes... It's always best to check out the species really well before purchasing though.
Straws need to be able to submerge in sea salt water entirely as well as high temps and humidity.
Indos... well... are weird. HEHE They have something I'm not figuring out yet. They come from a different environment then the other species so they can be tricky.
Cavipes... not sure. They are close in area to Indo's, but found on the beaches more.
Ruggies and E's are very similiar to PP's but not as hardy, may not grow as big... tempermental with molts.
PP's.. The all american crab. HAHAHAHA Sounds cheesy but they are tough little buggers.
I'm sure I missed some pointers here so definately check them all out. It's quite interesting researching them.
