Fortunado is dead. Long live Fortunado!

Post by Guest » Wed May 24, 2006 12:27 pm

Well, at 7AM he was still eating at the food dish, and cringed when I came in. I excused myself and left. At 11:00, he had dropped all his limbs, and was dead. I've removed him, done maintenance as normal, and I will revisit petsmart to find another Fortunado, or whoever it may be. I'll let you all know how it goes.

So sorry...that's an all too common experience. I don't believe you could have done anything differently, you certainly started out with superior conditions.

Please keep us posted on your next find!

I'm sorry to hear about Fortunado. He will be missed, and you did everything for him that you could.

Sorry to hear about your crab. Today I found out one of my crabs died. Darery was in a shell that I thought was 2x to small for him. I hope you found another crab like the one you had.

Sorry for your loss, Abilor :( I can't understand how that happened. So sudden and without warning. I don't get it at all.

Oh that's so sad Abilor :(

Though, that is the strangest thing I have heard (no offence Abilor) happen with a crab.
I didn't know they could be fine one minute, then because you walked into the room(spooked the crab?),lose all limbs and die within 2 hours.
I guess I learn something new everyday.
What kind of crab was he Abilor,do you know?
And how long did you have him for?

Sorry to hear about the loss of Fortunado. I was pulling for him.

Troppo: I believe this is an end to Abilor's previous post in New Crab Owners.
