Thanks from Mama, Daddy and baby crab.
My crabs LOVE the new diet. They ate all the krill I put in last night. They also love carrots and ate all of those. I can't wait to try different stuff and see what they love the most. I'm going to put some egg shell in there tonight. I left some commercial food in just so they would "understand" the transition and of course they haven't touched it...lol. thanks!

Good to hear your crab likes their new food...

Well by the way some commercial diets are harmful for crabbies even though they are specially made for them... You should check out the safe food list and compare them with the ingredients.
Although it may be hard, I prefer making your own hermie food out of organic foods. Since hermies eat about anything, it's safe to say you can make anything as long as there is no iodine nor sauces used for human food.
If you still prefer to use commercial diets, preferably choose T-Rex or get some food like in these links as basic food.

Crabble,
Thanks for your reply. I had already switched to T-Rex original; however, I am transitioning to an "all natural" diet now. I left a bit of commercial food (T-Rex) in there just to mix it for a few days, but they don't eat it anymore since I started offering the natural foods. They love it! It's fun to watch them pick out their favories.

I've noticed..
I've noticed the same thing! Ha, I always have kibble in there for them to eat, but apparently they prefer things from my garden!
Try putting the food IN the egg shells, it's funny to watch them devour the ins and outs, it's like an edible bowl for them!

It's amazing watching their excitement over certain foods. The other night when I prepared their dinners, I had added a pile of worm castings to each dish. Well, the following morning, the bowls were completely clean of the castings, LOL. All the other stuff was untouched - just the worm castings were eaten in both crabitats. Crazy buggers

The shrimp is what gets me the most. I fed a couple pieces in the main tank and one in each of the isos last night. Oogie took one all to himself (greedy booger), the rest of the up and about clan in the main tank were all trying to drag the other piece away from each other. The Winnipeg rugs were sharing nicely and the petsmart molter calmly chowed on his.

I'm happy to see your hermit crabs are loving the all-natural diet! Another thing you can do is add "harvestable" foods to their diet. Basically, these are things you can find in the wild and give to your hermit crabs. Most of the time, they are loaded with essential nutrients.
