I think my baby resurfaced!!

Post by whatthemath » Wed Apr 25, 2012 2:06 am

I have four crabs, one medium, two smalls, and one smaller one. My baby dug down about a month and a half ago, and I thiiiiink this is him in the tank! :D However, his shell looks like one of the small one's shells. So I can't tell if it's my baby or the small one. >.> And if it is my baby, I don't know how to tell if he molted or just took forever to destress. Urgh. Why can't my crabs stay out of the substrate long enough for me to get a head check!? Haha

They're crabs! It's what they do. :) I gave up trying to keep track of mine regularly a long time ago, lol.

If the crab in question has black pointy toenails and is covered in little furry hairs all over, it molted!

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind next time I see the little guy! :D I'm not ready to give up on tying to keep track of them just yet! I only have four so I figure it shouldn't be that hard for me! Haha

Yay! Congrats
I keep track of mine with pictures :D I also use them to track their growth, I have an album for them and I renamed the pics with the dates/names ;) I doubt you'll have much trouble keeping track of them with four though!
