Blossom became shy all of a sudden???

My PP Blossom is my lesser shy of my two PPs. She's never really hid in her shell when I bring her out of the crabitat to play! Normally she comes right out when I set her down and she runs around like crazy.

But this past weekend she changed to a new shell for the first time and its bigger, so she can hide pretty far down in it, but for some reason she will not come out of it to run around and now my shadow even scares her into it! She has totally switched personalities and is acting just like Sheldon! Does she think I'm trying to steal her new shell away? Why does she hate me now

Is there a chance Blossom is actually Sheldon? say Sheldon moved into another shell and then Blossom moved into Sheldons old shell or are they both being shy now?

is it possible that she's preparing for a molt?

I found Sheldon today, so it's definitely not him. And her eyes are not as jet black as the other guy's eyes, so maybe she may molt? She is being pretty inactive. Also, would a crabby chance shells before a molt?

I recently read that some will actually change into a smaller shell right before a molt. I'm not sure if that is true though.

you mentioned her new shell is larger than her previous shell? It could be a molt.
sometimes crabs change before a molt, some wait until after, because of that a shell change is not a good indicator of an upcoming molt.
did her eating/drinking habbits change at all prior to you noticing her loss of activity?
what are your tank conditions like?

She and Sheldon are both PP's so I never see them active. They only move at night (although I've woken up during the night and they were both still sleeping :S) so as far as I know she could be eating, or not eating, I would have no clue

I have never seen either of them moving around.... I have had them for just over 2 weeks.

Tank conditions were pretty rocky as I was trying to get it stable by changing different things (substrate depth, new light bulbs, bubble bowls, etc.) so its finally around 80degrees and humidity fluctuates between 70-80%
