White hairy stuff on moss

Post by Stefunkie » Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:25 pm

I have had moss in the tank for a couple days now, and after work today I came home to this:

What in the world? Is this harmful? What is this?!

Sorry for all the questions!

Soooo are those bushy things new? Or is it long, hairy mold growing on bushes you already had?

It's mold. I usually wait it out if it doesn't get too bad, and the mold will eventually die off in one to three weeks. You can also wash it off or soak it in saltwater to get rid of it right now, but that usually discolors the moss and causes it to get funky faster.

Thanks wodesorel, I couldn't find any information online strangely enough.
