Can I use API aquarium salt for my saltwater salt

That salt, while not harmful to the crabs, is lacking in many elements found in salt mixes that are designed to mimic sea water. These elements are vital to healthy molts and overall well-being of the crabs. You'll want to pick up a brand that's specifically sold for saltwater aquariums. Instant Ocean is a popular brand.
