Winter Heating
Winter Heating
I live in colorado and were moving into cold weather. Any suggestions for heating a crabitat in a cold room? I have a UTH on the back of the tank but it's not really enough, the coldest area in the tank is around 73 when the heat lamp is on.
Re: Winter Heating
Making sure that the tank is well insulated will go a long way in helping it stay warmer, you can cover any place on the back and sides where there is not a uth pad with tin foil and then tape some styrofoam over the tin foil this will serve as a dual insulating barrier and will also help to reflect the heat that would be radiating out of the tank back into it.
What size is your tank and what size is the uth pad?
