How often are you spraying the tank? And how much water are you putting into the tank each time you spray?

The humidity is in the 90's on the right side, but the temp is 73 :smt010

YYWW I spay it as best I can without drowning the tank, I get the sides, the moss and the plants. I do it every other day (during water changes but I usually end up doing it more often than that.

So the left side stays 77-82F with humidity staying above 70% mostly? If so, your humidity seems fine in my mind, with the gradient, but the temps would be better bumped up a bit for those Es. Have you tried insulating the tank more? Maybe styrofoam or thick cardboard in addition to the foil over the UTH?

If I said that the left side is 77-82 I meant the middle. I haven't gotten a reading on the left side yet. I feel like the foil might be blocking the lamp from heating the outer sides of the tank, is that possible?

I think you're fine, though i might not be the best advisor. 77-82 is nice! You could sprinkle up to an inch worth of damp EE on top, but i get the idea that readings from the middle are on the conservative side. You have bubblers and moss pits that crabs can go towards if they're feelin a lik dry, not to mention a good soak in a deep pool. You're misting regularly.
The only thing that you might want to watch out for is to check if your sub might be a drying out somewhere for some reason, especially from underneath. Other than that kind of hazard, i don't believe an occasional low of 70% is concerning, especially if it could actually be an occasional low of 75%

Oh, the middle. Sorry I assumed the left. Yeah, humidity definitely fine but Es really should have 80-90F. If it's mostly staying at 82F then it's probably fine.

Just try to cover the tank up as good as you can and it will hold the humidity in. The analogue hygrometers are usually hit or miss. I got a humidifier meant for babies for 15$ it works great. Reptifogger and all the other ones marketed towards reptiles are a waste of money. I only put it on once or twice a day for 15 mins and my humidity is always over 80%.

This is my plan for my Christmas money (if my Dad chooses to continue his usual gift, of course). It's a great cost-saving idea!

It's okay even if the right side is 73?!

Thanks for the tip, we have one that I was using. I think I stopped using it because the humidity was fine at the time when I pulled it out of the garage.

I barely have room to add more sub, with all the sub that is already in the tank. It is a 20g long, I was not thinking strait, apparently when I bought it  . I'm running out of space to add EE. You can see it sorta here

And my uvb died today :x I think that was killing some of the humidity, but I wasn't planning on replacing it sooo I actually could buy another heat bulb if I wanted... That's actually a great idea, I just thought about it lol

Like I said, it would be best to bump those temps up. I wouldn't say it's an emergency if your one side is staying at 82F mostly but definitely a good idea. ;) I'm surprised there's so much of a gradient in a 20long though.

I know right! I think I'll get another bulb or heat mat for the right side. I lied, the uvb didn't die, my brother unplugged it!

Aagh. I've had the kids unplug things a few times. Very frustrating.

Oh, forgot to mention. I checked the left side of the tank, it's reading 79 temperature and 90s for humidity. Maybe the heat mat is doing more than I thought.
