Yep. The only real differences that I can think of are aquariums can hold water and the glass is a little thicker. If your UTH directions specifically say "do not use with aquariums", they likely mean an actual tank full of water. Not an aquarium used like a terrarium.

People are clueless enough to try and heat a tank full of water with a UTH. It would lead the to the UTH overheating, and the glass possibly breaking because of the massive amount of cold water that needed to be warmed.

Ahh. Well in that case I may upgrade from my 10 gallon tank. Ugh. And I just finally got the temperature and humidity under control...here we go again!
